The New American Schools: What Will They Be Like in the Year 2000?
Paul, Leonard
NASSP Bulletin, v78 n564 p41-45 Oct 1994
Unfortunately, schools will probably not change much. To prepare for the year 2000, American education must have early childhood readiness programs, a longer teaching day for secondary schools, increased management responsibilities for principals, improved teacher training and tenure law, restricted TV access for students, student and teacher incentive programs, business programs, interdisciplinary curricula, and mandatory parent-involvement programs.
