The Sorority Rush Process: Self-Selection, Acceptance Criteria, and the Effect of Rejection.
Atlas, Gordon; Morier, Dean
Journal of College Student Development, v35 n5 p346-53 Sep 1994
Explored decision to rush sorority among 105 first-year college women. Those who chose to rush sorority were more physically attractive, came from wealthier family background, used alcohol more frequently, were higher in need for exhibitionism, and were more willing to attend parties where they might not fit in than were students who did not rush sororities.
