Describes a study investigating the perceived commitment for instructional improvement among two-year college chief academic officers (CAOs). Compares data from 712 2-year college CAOs with that from 1,328 4-year college CAOs. Indicates that both groups reported a relatively low level of perceived commitment to activities designed to improve the teaching/learning process. (MAB)
