Critical Teaching Incidents: Recollections of Deaf College Students.
Lang, Harry G.; And Others
American Annals of the Deaf, v139 n2 p119-27 Mar 1994
Interviews with 56 deaf college students resulted in accounts of 839 "critical incidents" describing effective and ineffective teaching. Thirty-three specific teaching characteristics were identified. The teacher's ability to communicate clearly in sign language was the most frequently occurring characteristic of effective teaching identified. Characteristics in the domain of Teacher Affect were also important. (Author/DB)
