Four hundred ninety-one special educators (teachers; speech language clinicians; and preschool, early childhood, and at-risk personnel) were surveyed as to their knowledge of verified and nonverified modes of Human Immunodeficiency Virus transmission. Findings suggest that educators have limited knowledge in this area. Implications for preservice and inservice training are discussed. (Author/DB)
