Administered measures of college student development, adjustment, psychological separation, and parental attachment to 139 students. For college student development, there was support for conjoint hypothesis, that conjoint variance of psychological separation and parental attachment is more strongly related to college student development and adjustment than either set of variables in isolation, for women but not for men.
