Comparison of the teaching strategies used by mothers of 30 boys with learning disabilities (LD) and 30 normally achieving boys (NLD) found that mothers of children with LD used fewer high level strategies, their total time spent teaching was less, and they exhibited more dominance and less emotionality and cooperation than did mothers of NLD children.
