Predictors of Reminiscence: A Lifespan Perspective.
Webster, Jeffrey Dean
Canadian Journal on Aging, v13 n1 p66-78 Spr 1994
Age, sex, and personality (extroversion, neuroticism, openness to experience) variables were used as predictors of 4 dimensions of reminiscence (frequency, age of memory, affective quality, meaning) for 94 subjects aged 18-81. No age differences appeared in frequency, emotional tone, or meaning; age predicted memory remoteness. Personality traits were significant predictors for all dimensions, and sex predicted reminiscence frequency. (JOW)
