Integrating cultural pluralism into the classroom requires a learner-centered approach that adopts four levels: contributions, additive, transformative, and social action. Teachers should understand their own perceptions, offer positive perspectives, prepare sufficiently, set rules of respect, and begin with nonthreatening issues. (SK)
