The Association of Selected Parent Behaviors with the Adaptive and Maladaptive Functioning of Black Children and White Children.
Tucker, Carolyn M.; And Others
Child Study Journal, v23 n1 p39-55 1993
Examined race differences in the association of parent behaviors with children's functioning for African-American and white second, fourth, and eighth graders. Found several associations between parents' self-reports of selected behaviors and measures of their children's adaptive and maladaptive functioning. Most of these associations differed by grade level. For second graders only, 2 of 13 associations involved racial interactions. (BB)
