Summarizes a study triangulating earlier qualitative findings that women administrators "cover" (adopt male behaviors and values) to reduce the stigma borne as females in a male-dominated profession. A test group of prospective female administrators displayed a more masculine sex-role orientation than a control group of females showing no interest in school administration but had similar femininity scores.
