Examined therapists' perceptions of behaviors of African-American and white adolescents. Twenty psychotherapists received scenario involving white adolescent; 20 received identical scenario involving African-American adolescent. Therapists rated clinical significance of scenario behaviors. Behaviors of African-American adolescent were rated overall as less clinically significant than behaviors of white adolescent.
