A Comparison of Videotaped Teaching Models and the Lecture Technique in Increasing the Use of Questioning Strategies Presented in Elementary Science Lessons.
Crooks, Cheryl; Gifford, Vernon D.
Journal of Science Teacher Education, v3 n3 p76-78 Sum 1992
Study investigated whether the use of videotaped models demonstrating effective teaching strategies in an elementary science lesson would promote increased use of effective questioning strategies among preservice teachers (n=38). Results show that the use of the videotaped teaching models increased the use of high-level, divergent, convergent/high-level, and divergent/high-level questions in the preservice teachers' teaching performance.
