Are More Intensive Early Intervention Programs More Effective? A Review of the Literature.

Analysis of research reviews, experimental studies, and a metanalysis that included data on early intervention intensity and outcomes revealed that there is little evidence that more intensive programs lead to better outcomes for children with disabilities. Some limited support exists that more intensive programs may be beneficial for disadvantaged children. (Author/JDD)
