Suggests the role of community college educators is to learn from their students how to teach. Reviews characteristics of successful faculty development efforts and describes three model faculty development approaches for encouraging learner-centered classrooms: Instructional Skills Workshops, classroom-based research (i.e., conducting classroom assessment and receiving appropriate training), and small-group instructional feedback.
