Observers' Perceptions of a Counselor's Treatment of a Religious Issue.
Morrow, David; And Others
Journal of Counseling and Development, v71 n4 p452-56 Mar-Apr 1993
College students (n=102) rated videotaped counseling excerpt in which client's religious belief was either supported, ignored, or challenged by counselor. Students' religious beliefs did not affect their ratings of counselor. Results suggest that most college students expect counselors to support client's religious beliefs or attend to psychological (rather than religious) beliefs rather than challenge client's religious beliefs.
