Applying the Diagnosis Antisocial Personality to Imprisoned Offenders: Looking for Hay in a Haystack.
Stevens, Gail Flint
Journal of Offender Rehabilitation, v19 n1-2 p1-26 1993
Assessed differences between inmates (n=381) diagnosed antisocial personality and inmates (n=257) with other diagnoses. Found that inmates diagnosed antisocial personality did not differ from other diagnosed inmates in terms of background characteristics, except race, but did differ in terms of criminal histories. Findings suggest that standards for diagnosing inmates as antisocial personality may vary by race. (Author/NB)
