Perceptions of AIDS Susceptibility among Minority and Nonminority Women at Risk for HIV Infection.
Kalichman, Seth C.; And Others
Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, v60 n5 p725-32 Oct 1992
Women (n=272) completed surveys of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) related risk behavior, perceptions of susceptibility, and knowledge. Twenty-two percent of women reported high-risk behavior. Perceptions of susceptibility were associated with interaction between ethnicity and level of risk; nonminority women at high risk reported greater concern about AIDS than did minority women at high risk.
