Ideal Decision-Making Styles Indicated by Deputy Principals.
Savery, Lawson K.; Soutar, Geoffrey N.
Journal of Educational Administration, v30 n9 p18-25 1992
Studies of decision-making preferences indicated by 136 deputy principals in Catholic schools in Western Australia. Results pointed to several underlying factors (policy, discipline, economic variables, teaching load, parental involvement, and time allocation), each with a different decision-making style influenced by respondents' personal skills and experiences. Management should recognize the importance of individual leadership styles and preferences. (22 references) (MLH)
