Congruence between Personality Traits and Chosen Occupation as a Predictor of Job Satisfaction for People with Disabilities.
Jagger, Linda; And Others
Rehabilitation Counseling Bulletin, v36 n1 p53-60 Sep 1992
Examined relationship between congruence (fit between individual's personality and occupational choice) and job satisfaction of successfully rehabilitated vocational rehabilitation clients (n=72). Found significant positive correlation between job satisfaction and congruence. Findings suggest that rehabilitation counselor education programs should provide counseling students with specific training in Holland's person-environment congruence model. (Author/NB)
