Dimensions of Self-Report about Everyday Memory in Young and Older Adults.
Erber, Joan T.; And Others
International Journal of Aging and Human Development, v34 n4 p311-23 1992
Investigated relationship between aspects of memory self-report, objective memory, attitude toward intellectual aging, self-rated health, and self-rated depression in young and older adults. Older adults reported significantly more frequent failures in everyday memory, but less discomfort with failures, than did young adults. Frequency, discomfort, and self-reported depression were all positively correlated in older group, not in younger group. (Author/NB)
