Parent and Teacher Perceptions of Outcomes for Typically Developing Children Enrolled in Integrated Early Childhood Programs: A Statewide Survey.
Peck, Charles A.; And Others
Journal of Early Intervention, v16 n1 p53-63 Win 1992
This survey of 125 parents and 95 teachers of typically developing children found that respondents perceived important benefits accruing to these children because of their involvement in preschool and kindergarten classes with students with disabilities. The specific nature of benefits centered on changes in social cognition, prosocial personal characteristics, and acceptance of human diversity. (JDD)
