Unmentionable Futures: Postschool Planning for Low-Income Teenagers.
Brantlinger, Ellen
School Counselor, v39 n4 p281-91 Mar 1992
Examined low-income teenagers' aspirations and expectations related to high school graduation, college attendance, and work. Personal interviews with 40 low-income seventh through twelfth graders revealed that most respondents expected to graduate from high school, felt graduation would benefit them in future, and thought their parents wanted them to graduate. More respondents wanted to attend college than expected to attend. (NB)
