Reading Disability and the Differential Ability Scales.

Contrasted performance on Differential Ability Scales (DAS) of 30 reading-disabled elementary school students with matched group of children from standardization sample. Results suggest that reading-disabled children demonstrate characteristic profile on DAS, scoring relatively poorly on achievement tests and on two of three diagnostic tests. Low scores on Speed of Information Processing did not characterize reading-disabled children as whole. (Author/NB)
