Differences in Volunteer Interest by Level of Career Orientation.
Altman, Janice H.; Sedlacek, William E.
Journal of Employment Counseling, v28 n3 p121-26 Sep 1991
Examined relationship between early career orientation and interest in volunteer work. Entering college students (n=858) completed questionnaires on background, attitudes, and expectations, and Campus Involvement Interest Survey. Results revealed that, although volunteer work can serve as resource for career exploration and job experience, option to volunteer may be disregarded by vocationally oriented students. (Author/NB)
