Explored intergenerational interaction between 138 matched pairs of older parents and their middle-aged children, comparing Mennonites and non-Mennonites. Compared five dimensions of family solidarity between generations, with result that middle-aged offspring typically reported less family solidarity than did parents. For Mennonites, with exception of functional solidarity, generational differences were maintained. (Author/NB)
