Tests of the Construct Validity of Occupational Stress Measures with College Students: Failure to Support Discriminant Validity.
Meier, Scott T.
Journal of Counseling Psychology, v38 n1 p91-97 Jan 1991
Examined correlations among stress, anxiety, and depression scales in 129 college students, as well as ability of measures of depression and anxiety to add to predictive power of occupational stress for recognition memory task and self-reported physical symptoms. Results indicated that stress, depression, and anxiety measures were moderately to highly correlated and were significantly related to physical symptoms. (Author/NB)
