Grouping Students for Instruction: Effects of Learning Style on Achievement and Attitudes.
Dunn, Rita; And Others
Journal of Social Psychology, v130 n4 p485-94 Aug 1990
Presents findings of a 1988 study of 104 middle school students, examining the relationship between learner style preference and instructional grouping. Identifies preference groups: learning alone, learning with peers, or no preference. Finds that students performed equally well on four social studies lessons when instructional strategy matched learner with preferred learning style. Suggests that grouping may influence no-preference students. (CH)
