Qualitative and Quantitative Research Trends in Special Education Journals.

This study investigated trends in the number and types of research articles published in selected special education journals in 1968, 1977, and 1986. Approximately half of the articles were not data based. Qualitative research accounted for about 6 percent of the research. Relatively stable rates of quantitative and qualitative research were found across the years. (Author/JDD)
