New graduates and current social workers need to understand complex biopsychosocial, ethical, and political issues in relation to acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS). A framework for developing comprehensive, versatile social work curricula that adequately prepare students to confront the unprecedented challenges created by the epidemic is offered. (Author/MSE)
