Verbal Introspection: A Contrast between Preservice and Inservice Teachers.

This study used self-report to determine the nature of female teachers' verbal introspection. Results showed that preservice teachers used few adult self-statements (indicating very little rational problem solving internally). Both preservice and experienced teachers implied a general feeling of powerlessness. (SM)
