The Effectiveness of Small-Group versus One-to-One Remedial Instruction for Six Students with Learning Difficulties.
Baker, Jeremy; And Others
Elementary School Journal, v91 n1 p65-76 Sep 1990
Studied the advantages of the one-to-one instructional format over Direct Instruction group teaching in the remedial education of six male fifth graders who were learning fractions and spelling. The one-to-one method resulted in faster student mastery of both subjects. However, the teacher time per instructional session was greater. (DG)
