An Analysis of the Most Frequently Cited Gifted Journal Articles since the Marland Report: Implications for Researchers.

The study identified the 25 most frequently cited articles on gifted education from 500 published between 1972 and 1988. Comparison of these articles with those not frequently cited found few differences. In comparison to other psychological/educational disciplines, gifted articles were cited much less frequently and used less sophisticated research designs and statistical analyses. (Author/DB)
