An Investigation of Systemic Conceptualizations of Parent-Child Coalitions and Symptom Change.
Mann, Barton J.; And Others
Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, v58 n3 p336-44 Jun 1990
Delinquent adolescents (N=45) in multisystemic therapy or individual therapy and well-adjusted adolescents (N=16) were involved in pre- and posttreatment measures of observed family relations and self-reported symptoms. Cross-generational coalitions were more evident in families of delinquents versus families of well-adjusted adolescents. Adolescent and paternal symptom changes in multisystemic group were linked with changes in marital relations. (Author/NB)
