Survey of 304 vocational agriculture teachers (70 percent response) found those who did not belong to agriculture professional associations tended to be members of American Federation of Teachers, had background in other than production agriculture, and taught in area vocational-technical schools. Agriculture teachers who had been student members of professional organizations were likely to join professional agriculture teacher associations. (SK)
