Chronicle of Higher Education, v37 n5 pA33-34 Oct 3 1990
New fund-raising campaigns at Columbia and Cornell Universities (New York) are setting records in fund-raising goals. Columbia is also involved in belt-tightening measures such as phasing out its School of Library Service. Cornell's drive is expected to be followed by others: Yale, Harvard, and the University of Pennsylvania. (DB)
