Criticizes John Goodlad's article in the same "Kappan" issue for presenting too-familiar research results concerning the plight of teacher education, for presenting an endless list of suggested remedies, and for largely ignoring the reform movement in teacher education. Goodlad's best idea is pedagogical centers separate from colleges of education. (MLH)
