Briefly reviews literature on depression and suicide among children, concluding that many counselors who have not traditionally worked with depressed and suicidal children will need to acquire knowledge and skills in order to deal with these clients. Presents a case study to describe how mutual storytelling was used to help seven-year-old play therapy client through a suicidal crisis. (NB)
