Occupational Therapists' Current Use of Independent Living Skills Training for Adult Inpatients Who Are Physically Disabled.
Pendleton, Heidi McHugh
Occupational Therapy in Health Care, v6 n4 p93-108 1989
Sample of 75 occupational therapists working with physically disabled adults in rehabilitation facilities completed the Independent Living Skills (ILS) Training Questionnaire. Results showed an average of 14 percent of treatment time spent on ILS training, considered a low amount by a panel of experts. It was suggested that community-based programs might allow more time for ILS than facility-based programs. (SK)
