Examines the relationship among perceptions of elementary and secondary teachers' selected communication behaviors and supervisors' evaluations of the teachers' effectiveness. Finds that teachers' willingness to communicate, nonverbal immediacy, and communication competence are predictive of supervisors' evaluation of students' learning and overall teaching effectiveness.
