Have College Students' Attitudes toward Older People Changed?

Administered Situational Attitude Scale-Age to 42 college freshmen in 1979 and again in 1988 to examine their attitudes toward age. Results revealed that overall attitudes of college students toward older people were generally negative in both samples. Respondents felt negatively toward older persons in both academic and social situations. (Author/NB)
