Used June 1985 Current Population Survey data to provide detailed analysis of childbearing after second marriage among women who remarried during reproductive years. For both Whites and Blacks, approximately one-half of women gave birth in second marriage; most births occurred within 24 months of remarriage. Among Whites, childbearing probabilities varied by sociodemographic variables (age and parity at second marriage). (Author/NB)
