An Investigation into the Cognitive Functioning of Bulimic Women.
Etringer, Bruce D.; And Others
Journal of Counseling and Development, v68 n2 p216-19 Nov-Dec 1989
Examined differences in cognitive functioning of bulimic (N=18) and nonbulimic (N=23) female college students by comparing participants on cognitive and behavior coping and self-efficacy variables. Found differences between bulimic and nonbulimic women on all measures. Found bulimic women demonstrated higher levels of dietary restraint; lower self-appraised problem-solving ability; and lower personal self-efficacy. (Author/CM)
