Surveyed female undergraduates (N=151) on perceptions of their parents' attitudes toward higher education. Found students perceiving nonencouragement reported interpersonal conflict with parents as well as financial difficulties. Suggests counselors address these concerns when counseling students who were not encouraged to attend college. (Author/ABL)
