Examined personal relevance of song lyrics to college students (N=34) when presented with music or in written form. Found overall evaluations were equivalent for males and females and for two presentations. There was interaction between gender of rater and presentation format: males rated lyrics of lower relevance when sung, females rated lower when written. (Author/ABL)
