Perceived Career Incentives of Suburban Elementary School Principals.
Crow, Gary M.
Journal of Educational Administration, v28 n1 p38-52 1990
Describes the perceived career incentive system for elementary school principals, identifying incentives and disincentives. Principals who have moved among several school districts are more likely to be satisfied and to stress incentives associated with keeping the job (like maintaining community contacts). Less mobile principals prefer central office advancement incentives. Includes 27 references. (MLH)
