To implement an effective evaluation and instructional supervision program, principals should hold high expectations for teachers, establish mutually agreed-upon performance criteria, improve teacher-administrator relations, conduct unbiased observation conferences, and establish a nonthreatening coaching atmosphere that encourages experimentation.
