Construct Validation of the Oddi Continuing Learning Inventory.

To estimate construct validity of Oddi Continuing Learning Inventory (OCLI), 126 (of 256) nurses completed OCLI and Job Analysis Scale, measure of nurses' on-the-job learning activities. OCLI scores were not correlated with subscale measuring group instruction and with voluntary attendance in continuing education. Ways to strengthen OCLI were identified, including refinement of items to reflect learning through various modes. (SK)
