Many of the demographic forces that affect enrollment projections can be anticipated: (1) changes in the birthrate; (2) immigration flows to the United States; (3) migration within the U.S.; and (4) policy decisions. Advises that enrollment projections be monitored yearly, and describes the cohort-survival method and the pupil-yield technique of enrollment projection. (MLF)
