This synthesis of 147 gender difference tests reported in the first 22 volumes of "Educational Administration Quarterly" indicates that just 6 of these statistical tests provided significant evidence to support a gender difference hypothesis. Possible reasons for these results include inadequately defined constructs and lack of methodological rigor. Includes 74 references. (MLH)
